New Seasons Market is recalling strawberry rhubarb bakewell tart after it was discovered the oat apricot crumble top contained almonds, pictured Thursday July 23,2020. The presence of almonds in the bars makes them a potential hazard for someone who is allergic to or has sensitivity to this food, as it could result into adverse reactions.
The recalled item was available at New Seasons Market stores in Oregon and Washington from March 22, 2024 to June 3, 2024. Chaia DC Strawberry Rhubarb Bakewell Tart in plastic clamshell package with black and white label by New Seasons Market Every best if used by date is subject to this recall.
According to the company: “Recently, a Tart in our stockroom at Rude Health experienced some symptoms of an allergy and suspicion quickly led us to review he label for potential Allergens — almonds were then detected from substantive testing despite none being listed on pack.” At the time of publication, there have not been any additional reports of adverse reactions to this product.
Customers who have an allergy to almonds are warned that, if they bought the Strawberry Rhubarb Bakewell Tart, not to eat them and throw it away.
